As a precursor of our Lit Fest 2017, we bring to you ‘Crossings,’ an online haiku writing competition.
The theme for the competition is “Refugees: In-Between Lives and Lands.”
In fleeing from the terror of their homelands to foreign places unknowing whether they’ll be welcomed there, refugees the world over have faced psychological costs of loss and alienation and the mental and emotional struggles to resist, survive and rebuild.
Through this competition, we invite participants who can raise sensitivity and awareness about the issue within the brief and rigid structure of the haiku form .
